The planning stages for our $1.6 million grant from the Queensland Government has progressed through the Master Plan and community engagement stage, to the design and costing phase. We are very pleased to announce that we have teamed with Becker Sunner as our Project Managers. Here is the timeline from the beginning of the project until now, then the forward planning.

Due to a team withdrawing from the SET Competition there are now 10 teams in SET. There will be NO BYE rounds moving forward. This change takes effect from this Saturday Round 2 of fixtures. 🏐 What this means: - Every SET team will play every week - No SET team will have a bye during fixtures 📲 Netball Connect will be updated as soon as possible to reflect this change. In the meantime, please remember: 👉 ALL 10 SET teams are scheduled to play each week Thanks for your support and flexibility as we make this adjustment. Our JSA players recently attended Fitness Cartel Mackay in preparation for the JSA Competition being held on the Gold Coast over the school holidays! The 12s were put through their paces in a Functional Fitness session with Coach Terrence. 🔥 Teams 14 Blue and 13 Maroon took part in a Reformer Pilates session. 🙌 Thanks Fitness Cartel for being a valued sponsor of our JSA teams in 2026! Mackay Netball Association is excited to announce the upcoming Ruby North Development Weekend, to be held on 📅15 -17 May! This is a valuable opportunity for players, coaches, and umpires to further develop their skills, knowledge, and confidence within a supportive and inclusive environment. The weekend will feature a range of development opportunities, including: - Coach Development Workshops - Umpire Development Workshops - Junior Skills Clinics for 11-12-13 year olds - Junior Skills Clinic for 14-15-16 year olds - Live Game Mentoring Session These Workshops are designed to support participants at all stages of their netball journey, from those just beginning through to those looking to refine and advance their skills.
